Nepal and Tibet are both very diverse places and on a trek you'll likely encounter several different cultural groups. These groups might have different dress, language and customs. Your guide will explain the cultural customs, give you cues and introduce you to the locals. Local villagers will be very curious about you and might be shy in your presence however knowing what is a sign or respect and what is valued among a group of people can easily break these barriers. We strive to create informed, educated and respectful travellers who will not disrupt local cultures but have the chance to teach local villagers something about themselves too. Knowing about the places and people you are visiting will make your experience more enjoyable and help local people open up to you and learn something new too.
