Taplejung can be reached by a 1 hour flight or a 24 hour bus ride from Kathmandu. Kanchenjunga is a remote and rugged area without modern facilities or hospitals. You must be prepared mentally and physically and be willing to be self sufficient along the way. You'll need additional porters to carry fuel, cooking and camp equipment
