I have been meaning to email regarding our trek. Ryan and I wanted to let you know that we had the most wonderful time and attribute our positive experience to Binod and Jagat. Binod was an amazing guide - his love for his country, people, and culture make him a wonderful guide. In addition, his dedication to always giving 110% to his work shone through. We came to realize that he always secured the best room for us and always chose the best places to stay. We always felt safe, yet challenged (which was what we wanted) and had the opportunity to learn so much about Nepal from Binod. Jagat has a wonderful demeanor and was always attentive to both our needs. We really felt that his humor and laid-back nature added to our experience. There were many times when Ryan and I remarked how lucky we felt to have Binod and Jagat as our guide and porter and now friends. All in all we were so happy to have found Mogambo and have been encouraging friends to trek Nepal with Mogambo! Our trek exceeded our expectations and we attribute that Binod & Jagat. My two adult children and I had the time of our life on our trek with Mogambo. They took care of everything before, during and after the trek, even though we stayed for a few days in town prior to the trek. They arranged for our transportation, extra –curricular activities, hotels, meals and even offered an extra person to help carry our backpacks. There was always someone there to help and/or guide us. I think perhaps because one of the owners of the company is an American who has traveled lived and worked extensively in developing countries, they understand the issues foreigners can have in a country that is so different from our own. Because of Mogambo, we felt secure and well taken care of. They answered every little question we had, however insignificant. Our guide was not only the nicest person on earth with a great sense of humor, but he spoke fluent English and was also very knowledgeable on his own country’s history and customs. Most importantly he knew these mountains like the back of his hand and was quick to respond to a few minor incidents we had while trekking. I can’t wait to go again! Next time Everest base camp with Mogambo all the way!
