When booking with Mogambo Treks and Expeditions we ask you to adhere to our terms and conditions as set forth below.
Payment- We ask you leave a 50% deposit with us 20 days before your scheduled departure date. This is to ensure flight reservations, guide and porter availability and accommodation. Payment for deposits may be made via pay pal on the Mogambo website or through Western Union wire transfer if outside Nepal. If you are in Nepal you may pay in USD or Nepali rupees (daily exchange rate applies).The remaining 50% will be collected in cash or travelers checks upon your arrival in Nepal before your journey begins.
Refunds and Cancellations-Cancellations made within 10 days of departure will be refunded 50%. After that we are unable to issue refunds. Cancellations and changes to the itinerary might happen from time to time and we will do our best to reschedule or detour to a route that is safe and reliable. The following are grounds for cancellations in which neither you nor Mogambo has control over therefore we cannot be held responsible for. Severe weather or natural disasters (heavy rain, snow, blizzards, avalanche, flooding, earthquake, landslides, lightening, high wind) Political demonstrations or strikes (transportation or business strikes, marches and protests, Maoist collection fees, curfews) Price changes (changes in airline fares or schedules, bus fares, taxes made payable to the Government of Nepal or the PSB in Tibet, conservation and National Park area fees, trekking permit fees, accommodation fees, food and fuel fees, exchange rates)
Health and Safety-Travel, particularly trekking and mountaineering in Tibet and Nepal can be challenging physically and mentally. We ask you to agree to these guidelines with regard to your health and safety.
Make sure you are physically fit and able to complete the journey, we recommend a physical examination and physical conditioning before you embark on a trek. If you are unable to continue on your journey please get to a safe area and rest. We cannot offer you a refund in the event that you are sick or injured.
Purchase reliable travelers insurance and make sure it covers mountaineering or trekking activities and travel to Nepal or Tibet. See our Some useful stuff or links page for our suggestions. Remember that Mogambo Treks and Expeditions will not be responsible in the event of injury or illness. Should you need emergency rescue by helicopter you must be able to pay for this service in Nepal.
Always follow the advice and suggestions of your guide, she or he knows which areas are risky and dangerous and will advise you accordingly.
1 Personal responsibility and behavior- Nepal and Tibet have cultural and legal laws that you must uphold and respect while visiting. Your guide will brief you on cultural taboos. Please respect all national and local laws with regard to immigration, illegal drugs, alcohol consumption, mobility, health, property or other.
Mogambo will not be responsible for your behavior in the event it will get you into trouble. Please respect all cultural values and local and national laws. |
